Simply Trios Chocolates

I was gifted these chocolates in return for me posting a review or talking about them on my social media.

You know what I love..? Chocolate!

When I was contacted by the very lovely Adam from Simply Trios, I jumped at the opportunity to review their chocolates.

Simply Trios started when Adam was just 13. He tried some little round sweets and was hooked so just had to try to make them himself. After a few failed attempts, he perfected his recipe and now we have a company called Simply Trios.

It was only last year that Adam decided to scale up and see what other people thought.

The chocolates came wrapped in perfect packaging that really protected the chocolates.

What chocolates are available?

The Speculoos – A caramelised biscuit Trio base covered in white chocolate.

The Peanut Nutter – A peanut Trio base covered in peanut butter milk chocolate, topped with either a honey roasted peanut or a caramelised sesame coated peanut.

The Artful Dodger – A childhood flashback. A jammy shortcake Trio base with strawberry gummy pieces covered in white chocolate with strawberry syrup swirls.

The Dark Horse – Adding some spice back into life. A smooth, light ginger Trio base, covered in rich dark chocolate.

The Choco-Oro-Honeyo – An orange-creme Trio base, covered in milk chocolate orange with honeycomb chunks.

The Puffin – A puffed pastry lemon Trio base covered in white chocolate and coated with meringue pieces.

The Original White – A little extra indulgence. Our original Trio base covered in white chocolate.

The Malted Milk – For all malt lovers out there! A malt Trio base covered in milk chocolate.

The Cookie Crumble – Our original Trio base filled with cookie chunks, covered in milk or white chocolate, and sprinkled with cookies and creme pieces.

The Original Milk – Where it all began. Our original Trio base covered in milk chocolate. Simple simplicity.

My verdict

My absolute my favourite was The Speculoos but this was super hard to choose as I loved them all so much. I shared them with Simon but trust me, I didn’t want to share.

The Artful Dodger was probably a second favourite as it was full of taste and flavour.

With each chocolate only costing 75p, you should definitely treat yourself to all of them. You can cut them up and have a taste testing session with a friend or you could simply keep them all for yourself.

I know that I’ll be purchasing their chocolates again, especially The Speculoos. I might have to buy that one in bulk!

Have you ever tried Simply Trios before?

Don’t forget to check out their store and their Twitter account.

Top Five Cutest Kanto Pokemon

I only got into Pokemon when I was 18 years old. But now, I’m obsessed!

I especially love all the cute Pokemon so I thought that I would list a few of my faves!

Cubone. With a story as cute as Cubone’s, you can’t help but fall in love with it. Plus, it’s absolutely adorable and it’s my all time favourite Pokemon.

Ponyta. I love Ponyta because it’s a pony and it’s a fire type. It is an adorable little pony.

Oddish. Being a grass and poison type Pokemon, you wouldn’t think that Oddish would be all that cute but it’s actually one of my all time faves.

Clefairy. It’s pink and it’s cute. That’s enough said.

Eevee. I love Eevee because it turns into Vaporeon which is one of my favourites but while it’s Eevee, it’s still super adorable.

Which are you favourite, cute Pokemon?

I’m Doing A Dechox!

If you know me then you’ll know that I’m often trying to raise money for charity.

That is why, I’m jumping on the band waggon and doing a dechox to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

The British Heart Foundation has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It’s only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target.

I’m trying to raise at least £50 by giving up chocolate for the whole of February. That means NO more hot chocolate, chocolate cookies or Easter Eggs.

If you wish to sponsor me then you can do so by clicking here!

If you do decide to support me then thank you SO MUCH!

Becoming An Avon Representative 101

Personally, I am NOT an Avon representative. That is because my mental health is terrible and I couldn’t cope with a job right now. However, my lovely boyfriend, is an Avon rep and I have noticed a few little tips and tricks that he does that make a lot of extra income.

A lot of people who think about Avon don’t think that it can make a lot of money but they would be wrong. The possibilities of earning are endless. There’s no limit on how much you can earn. You get back what you put in!

If you’re thinking of becoming an Avon representative or you already are one but would like some tips, then this guide is for you.

What is Avon?

According to the official Avon website, ‘Every day, Avon brings beauty to the lives of women all over the world. At Avon, beauty means finding the right lipstick shade for a customer; providing an earnings opportunity so a woman can support her family; and enabling a woman to get her first mammogram. Beauty is about women looking and feeling their best. It’s about championing economic empowerment and improving the lives of women around the world’.

Basically, that means that it’s a beauty catalogue and online store which sells beauty, health and lifestyle products for BOTH men and women.

If you wish to buy Avon cosmetics then you are able to online or by ordering from your local Avon rep.

If you wish to sell Avon cosmetics then you are able to sign up and become an Avon rep for yourself to start earning money.

What does an Avon rep do?

As an Avon rep, your job is pretty simple. You sell products!

As I watch my boyfriend do this, I always chuckle to myself because he has never been a perfect salesman but he makes selling Avon look easy. That’s because Avon products sell themselves.

A lot of people know of the Avon brand and know all the great work that they do with charities. That is why people wish to support them!

But, how do I make money?

You can make money two ways:

  1. Catalogues.
  2. Online store.

I’ll explain a little bit more about the two ways now…

Let’s start with Catalogues

You will be given a credit account by Avon. Often the value of this is around £200 and you are free to order brochures, products and samples up to this value. As you earn money from selling the products that you order, you can pay off your credit account. You will get a 20% discount (upped to 25%) and then you do not need to pay the 80% back to Avon leaving you with the 20/25% profit.

It doesn’t sound like a lot of money but allow me to explain further. If someone orders £30 worth of products, you will profit at least £6. That adds up pretty quickly! Trust me, people love Avon and will place big orders.

When your brochures arrive, you simply place an order form inside the brochure and post it through your neighbours letter box. Don’t forget to go and collect it again a couple of days later!

You can hand brochures out to people at work, your friends and your family.

Moving on to your online store

When you join Avon, you are allowed to set up a store on the Avon website. To see my boyfriend’s store, click here.

You can link people to your online store and people can do as much shopping as they wish. They will pay for delivery and you will still get your 20% profit. That is unless they live in your local area and ask for the products to be delivered by yourself. If that does happen, products will be delivered to your home and you can drive or walk to their home with the products. They will then hand you the money.

When does the money start rolling in?

At first, you will make money, I’m sure. You might not make the most money but over time you will gain something called ‘regulars’. These are the customers that you can reply on to order again and again.

By giving them a brochure EVERY campaign, you can bet that you will earn some money. The more reliable you are, the more you will form connections with your regulars and they will spend more money on products. The more they spend, the more you earn!

How Do I Start?

To start selling Avon, you need to be living in the UK and be aged 18+, sign up and pick a starter pack. These range in price but start at £15 but you DO NOT have to pay this straight away. You can choose whether or not it comes out of your earnings or you can just pay straight up if you wish.

You will receive your starter pack which will contain some products which can be sold on to make extra money or you can treat yourself!

Being an Avon Representative is a great way to meet new people in your local area. You’ll also find you develop new skills as you build and grow your business.

If you are a hoarder of beauty products, it might be even worth signing up just to get discounted products for yourself..

So, if you’re ready to sign up, click here.

What To Expect When Growing Out Your Pixie Cut

I have had a pixie cut for about half a year now and I miss my longer hair. I felt more princessy with longer hear and I loved styling it in space buns. I can’t do that anymore though.

That is why I’m now growing out my pixie cut.

When it was first cut, it was an asymmetric pixie with my fringe being a lot longer. Since then, I have tried to trim the front on the longer side to make it more even as it grows out.

If you have a pixie cut that you’re looking to grow out or you’re thinking about getting a pixie cut then keep on reading.

Get regular trims

I know, I know, the point of GROWING out a pixie cut is that you want it to get longer not shorter. That is exactly the point. It’s also why you need trims. Your hair needs to get healthier for it to grow so cut off those dead ends and nothing more. Don’t go super short (again), just take off those pesky ends.

Learn Some Styling Tips

Your hair is going to go through many different stages. You don’t want to look funny with your hair while that happens and you don’t want to be stuck wearing hats. That’s why you need to practice different styles for different lengths of hair.

It’s important to keep your hair fun and interesting even though it will be super annoying. You don’t want to get that pixie cut again just because you’re sick of the same boring style. That would let all your hard work go to waste.

Make friends with headbands

Headbands are going to be your best friend. You can pull tricks with a headband by doing two things.

1… Give your hair lots of volume then push it back with a headband. I suggest curling it, since curls will make hair seem shorter and less awkward, and curls will also make any uneven lengths less obvious if you’re between cuts.

2… You can wear a headband that wraps around and tuck the pieces in the back under the bottom of the headband. It’s tricky and might require some pins, but it will look cute like a curled-under little bob.

If all else fails, invest in some wigs or hats.

That’s not to say that you shouldn’t have a pixie cut. If you want one then go for it. It’s one of the best things I ever did and gave me a huge confidence boost. However, it’s time for mine to go now.

If you really can’t deal with how your pixie cut looks while it’s growing, invest in some wigs and hats. Remember, you can cover your hair no matter what so you should always be able to feel confident even while you’re not so happy with your hair.

Have you ever tried to grow out a pixie cut? If you have, I would love to hear your experience..

National Compliment Day

As I was scrolling through Twitter this morning, I noticed that it was national compliment day. So I thought that I would write a little post all about compliments.

What is National Compliment Day?

National Compliment Day is an unofficial holiday which falls annually on January 24th. The purpose of this holiday is to say something nice to your friends, family, and co-workers. After all, giving out compliments not only makes the receiver happy but studies have shown that giving out compliments also has a beneficial effect on the person giving out the compliment. So not only do you make someone else’s day a little better, you can also improve your own day!

Two Reasons Compliments Are Important

The main reasons that compliments are important is because they create a positive environment. Giving out compliments benefits everyone. If you compliment someone, they will smile. Smiles are spread from person to person until a whole bunch of people are smiling. Therefore, it creates a positive environment.

Compliments are also important because they motivate people. If you compliment someone on something that they are doing, they are more than likely going to work even harder at that thing. It motivates them never to give up.

What Do I Compliment Someone On?

It really doesn’t need to be a huge gesture. You can simply say ‘nice work’ to someone you’re working with or ‘cute dress’ to a person who looks beautiful. You can make a compliment more personal by saying something such as ‘I love your big, blue eyes’ or ‘you are my favourite person’.

You can make complimenting someone as simple or as complicated as you wish to!

National Compliment Day is the perfect holiday to show those people around you that you appreciate and love them. It’s also a great day to break away from negative attitudes and work towards creating a more positive working environment. After all, compliments are powerful tools that can transform human relationships, so why not use them?

January ’19 Kawaii And Geeky Wishlist

I know, I know. We are nearing the end of the month but I couldn’t help myself from making a wishlist. I found so much cute and geeky stuff that I just really want this month so I thought I would share a wishlist post with you all.

I might end up making this into a monthly thing so if you like this style of post then do let me know…

Without further ado, onto the wishlist…

1… Backpack. As soon as I found this backpack, I knew I needed it or at least one similar. It comes in a range of colours but of course, I want it in pink.

2… Gaming Bean Bag. Who doesn’t need a gaming bean bag in their life? I recently got back into gaming so I thought that a gaming bean bag would be perfect. I can sit in the middle of the living room and game until I’m content.

3… Polaroid film. I love taking photos so this film is kawaii yet practical!

4… Shiba pillow plush. I usually sleep on a little pillow that is Sven’s (from Frozen) face but I feel like I could do with another pillow but I’m not satisfied with just an ordinary pillow. I need a super cute one.

5… Pokémon Indigo League: Season 1. Sure, it’s on Netflix which we already pay for but I just really want to own it too!

6… Tokidoki Unicorno Figure-Series 7. I have two unicornos so far and I want soooo many more. They are just so cute and the detailing on them in amazing. Plus, unicorns.

7… Gameboy Digital Watch. I don’t even wear watches but this thing is just adorable. I never actually owned my own Gameboy so I dream of having one..

8… Pink gaming headset. I want to start filming gameplay on my YouTube channel and maybe eventually start streaming on Twitch so a headset would be fun. Especially this cute pink one.

What made it onto your wishlist this month?
