Disney+ First Impressions And Recommendations

Disney+ was released in the UK on the 24th March, 2020. After preordering it a month before it’s release, I couldn’t wait to start watching.

We have been waiting for so long for Disney+ to release. A lot of other places has had Disney+ for a while now but we had to wait.

Price wise, I paid £49.99 for the year when it was on the early deal but it is currently running at £59.99 per year or £5.99 per month.

You are allowed to have four profiles on one membership so you could even split the costs with a friend if you wanted to share accounts. Personally, Simon and I have one each and then we have a spare for when people come to visit.

First Impressions

At first glance of the homepage, it looks very much like Netflix. It’s pretty easy to navigate and you can find any film, series or short that you want to watch.

When looking on the search tab, Disney have made it super easy to find any kind of thing that you want. Disney own many different things that you would have noticed so you can find things such as Star Wars, National Geographic and Marvel, as well as normal Disney content. They have made it so simple to find each of these kinds of content on the search tab.

The layout is just so neat and beautifully designed. It’s easily navigable too which is great.

One of my favourite things that I noticed is that there is a Watchlist. This means that I can keep all the shows that I want to watch, all in one place.

The one thing that I am kind of disappointed about is that we don’t have full series at once. I would have much prefer to binge watch shows. With certain shows, we get a new episode per week instead of being able to binge watch the whole show at once. I guess that is Disney’s way of keeping people on the app though.

What To Watch

Films

  • Hocus Pocus (1993)
  • High School Musical (2006)
  • Frozen (2013)
  • Inside Out (2015)
  • Monsters, Inc. (2001)
  • Avatar (2009)
  • Big Hero Six (2014)
  • Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005)

Series

  • Gravity Falls
  • Hannah Montana
  • Tangled The Series
  • Big Hero 6 The Series
  • Vampirina
  • Wizards Of Waverly Place
  • Ducktales

There’s so many options when it comes to things that you could watch so you’ll never get bored. Overall, I am so happy with Disney+ so far. I can’t wait to watch more.

What have you watched on Disney+ so far? What were your first impressions?

The Most Magical Quotes From Frozen II

I am literally not able to get over the fact that Frozen II has been out for about two months at this point. Frozen II was realised in the UK on the 22nd of November, 2019 and I didn’t actually watch it until the 26th of November, 2019. That wait nearly killed me!

Since Frozen II’s release, I have watched it quite a few times in the cinema and I would happily watch it even more. Since I’m still not over how great it was, I thought I would share some of my favourite and most magical Frozen II quotes here on my blog.

How To Prepare Your Phone For A Disney Trip

Visiting a Disney park is a dream come true. Not every Disney fan is lucky enough to be able to visit a park in their life. If you are lucky enough, you’ll want to make sure that you’re all ready to make your time as magical as possible.

It’s not only important to get yourself ready but you need to prep your phone too.

I don’t think that people realise how important their phone is for the perfect Disney trip. Everything used to come on paper several years ago. You had your fastpasses on paper, your maps on paper and you had your meal reservations on paper. But, those days are gone. Everything is digital which makes your phone so much more important than you would think.

What I Learned From My First Trip To Walt Disney World

I have an infinity annual pass for Disneyland Paris and I have been a few times now. It’s so magical and I love it. However, even though my love for Disney grows stronger every single day, I had never actually managed to make the trip to Walt Disney World. It had been on my bucket list for a while though.

As a Brit, it’s pretty expensive to go to Walt Disney World so it was something that I could never really afford to do. However, 18 months ago, Simon and I decided to save up and make the effort to head over to Florida to visit Disney World.

We arrived back just less than a week ago and I feel like I learnt a lot that I should tell you about so that you can make the most of your first trip to Disney World.

Taking a break is definitely necessary

Don’t be afraid to admit defeat in a Disney park. Especially is said Disney park is in Orlando. The weather there is absolutely mad. It’s so hot and humid which can make you feel completely exhausted. It’s completely okay to take a midday break. That break can be different for everyone but for me, it was going back to the hotel, turning on the air conditioner and maybe taking a nap. For other people though, it’s simply sitting on a bench and drinking a cold drink.

Select the quick service meal plan

This is what we did and it’s definitely something that we would do again. Dining in Walt Disney World is absolutely crazy. For us, sit down restaurant meals just weren’t going to happen. Hopefully next time but for our first trip, we wanted to keep it as simple as possible. The quick service meal plan saved us a lot of money and we were never going hungry. The snacks and meals are huge and you can still eat as much as you want.

You’ll always wish that you had more time

No matter how much you plan, you will never accomplish it all in the one trip. Even though we went for two weeks, I feel like we would have needed another two more weeks just to get everything done. If you plan to spend time in the hotel, plan mini-golf, visit other hotels or even go to the water parks, you would need even more time on top of that.

Going to Disney World was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. There were a few things that I wish I changed but I just get to take them into consideration next time I go.

Have you ever been to a Disney park before? If you have, which is your favourite?

We FINALLY Bought Disneyland Paris Annual Passes!

If you’ve ever had a conversation with me before or you follow me on Twitter, then you’ll know that I love to Visit Disneyland Paris.

Disney has been a huge part of my life for years now. Unlike most people, I didn’t grow up with Disney films other than two; Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc. Monsters Inc has always been a favourite of mine.

For my 21st birthday, Simon and I planned a trip to Disneyland Paris to celebrate. I absolutely loved it and ever since visiting for the first time, I’ve been hooked. I tried to talk Simon into getting annual passes after the first time but after a little chat, we decided there was more important things that we needed.

After another visit, I was even more desperate to get annual passes. I begged and begged but still in the end, I realised that it wasn’t the right thing to do.

That was until the 26th of July, 2019. That was the exact day that Simon and I decided to get Disneyland Pass Infinity annual passes.

First of all, we decided to phone up to buy our passes. After a quick phone call, we were told that we would have to order them through the French website. I figured that since we didn’t speak French, we would have a lot of problems but we attempted to anyway.

The website was actually pretty simple once we had translated it. We wizzed through it. That was until we came to pay for the two passes. I ended up phoning again and the accepted payment over the phone and it was super easy peasy.

The passes then arrived around two/three days later. They weren’t the official passes but the temporary passes arrived so quickly and we can pick up our official passes on our next trip.

We have already started planning our DLP trip to collect our Infinity Passes. I can’t wait to go!

Do you have annual passes for any of the Disney parks? If you have any advice or tips, let me know..

My Top 5 Character Meets At Disneyland Paris

I’ve been to Disneyland Paris twice now and have a third trip booked. I know that’s not a huge amount but I’m grateful that I get to go at all.

In the future, Simon and I hope to get APs which means we will be going all the time but money doesn’t want that to happen right now.

In the meantime, while I’m missing the Disney magic, I thought I would write all about my favourite character meets in the parks.

Miss Bunny and Thumper

This is my all time favourite meet so I thought that I would talk about it first. It’s a funny story really. We were in the queue for the characters and something happened that made us leave the queue. We ended up all sad that we didn’t meet Miss Bunny and Thumper. So, we did some shopping. I bought a handbag with Mickey Mouse’s face on.

Anyway, we went back into the park and noticed that Miss Bunny and Thumper will be back at 1pm. We waited around for about an hour to meet them but it was totally worth it. Miss Bunny ended up loving my new bag and she posed with it. Thumper was upset that it wasn’t him that was on my bag!

Definitely the best character meet so far. Plus, Miss Bunny looks adorable with my handbag!

Marie

This was a character meet that I didn’t love so much as it was happening but thinking about it now, it made my trip extra special. We didn’t have to queue very long to meet Marie which shocked me as I figured that people would love to meet Marie.

At the time, I thought that Marie was freaky as she just clawed at me and stroked my hand but thinking about it now, it was super fun and funny.

Jafar

The line to meet Jafar was the best queue ever. I was hyped and super excited so I kept making jokes.

“First we were JaFAR, then we were JaNEAR”

I realise that isn’t actually that funny but I was so happy that I would laugh at anything.

When we got to Jafar, I asked him if he was the hugging type. He shook his head at me and it was one of the best moments ever.

Daisy Duck

This was the first meet of the second trip. As soon as we arrived in the park, I noticed Daisy and ran over.

Me and Daisy posed a lot and took plenty of photos. Even though I was extra fat (I’ve lost weight since), these photos are some of my favourite of myself. Not because of how I look but because of how happy I am.

Goofy

This was the last character meet of the second trip. We were packing up and waiting for the coach to the airport when Goofy arrived so of course, we had to squish in one more character meet before we left.

I gave him the biggest hug and told him that I would see him soon.

I can’t wait to go back to Disneyland Paris and meet more characters. Have you ever been before? Who was your fave character meet?
