The best thing about Animal Crossing: New Horizons is that there’s something new to do every day. As well as those new tasks, you can complete some daily checklist tasks. These tasks will help you make the most of my time on your island. Many of these tasks can be completed everyday so it’s pretty easy to create a routine out of these.
You don’t have to do all of these everyday because you’ll find that some of these work well for your island well but others just don’t work for you. That’s why I love Animal Crossing though. Everyone plays for them and you can play at your own pace. It’s just such a calming game.
Today is 1st of April which signifies the first day of Stress Awareness Month. I feel like stress is something that is often ignored as we all just assume that it’s ‘normal’ to be stressed. However, stress is not something that should be ignored because it can lead to people feeling depressed and anxious. That’s why it’s so important to start talking about stress right now.
During our lives, we encounter a lot of times that we face moments of stress. Maybe we don’t even recognise the stress or maybe the stress simply overwhelms us. No matter what kind of stress you are feeling, it is valid and needs to be spoken about.
Disney+ was released in the UK on the 24th March, 2020. After preordering it a month before it’s release, I couldn’t wait to start watching.
We have been waiting for so long for Disney+ to release. A lot of other places has had Disney+ for a while now but we had to wait.
Price wise, I paid £49.99 for the year when it was on the early deal but it is currently running at £59.99 per year or £5.99 per month.
You are allowed to have four profiles on one membership so you could even split the costs with a friend if you wanted to share accounts. Personally, Simon and I have one each and then we have a spare for when people come to visit.
You probably already know that yesterday at 8:30pm, Boris Johnson announced that the UK was going into lockdown. He stated that there’s now only a few reasons that you are allowed to leave the house and that the police will have more power now.
If you didn’t quite catch what he was saying, here’s the only times you’re allowed to leave the house:
Shopping for basic necessities
One form of exercise a day
Medical need, to provide care or to help a vulnerable person
Travelling to and from work (if completely necessary)
This will be a 3 week lockdown and then the situation will be reassessed.
I know that that is exactly what this country needs but I can also understand that this is going to be hard for people’s mental health, including mine.
I think we all have an inbuilt desire to be productive. We have goals and we hope to reach them as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, if you’re not born into a super rich family or you don’t have all the luck in the world, then you’ll probably have to work for your goals.
If you’re anything like me, then as soon as you’ve found a new goal or dream and you’ve settled on it, then you’ll want to get working on it right away. You’ll be making a list of everything that needs to get done. You’ll be thinking of ways to make it all perfect. Sound familiar? It probably does and that’s because we have all been there.
I think the problem is that we all want to be seen as ‘being productive’. We want to be known as the one who ‘get’s stuff done’. There’s a problem with this mindset though; When do we rest and reset if we are always being productive?!
