How To Avoid Christmas Burnout

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, too bad it’s also the most stressful time of the year too. The end of the year is approaching and you can’t wait for that mini break. But first, Christmas time..

♡ Know your limits. You don’t have to attend every single Christmas party or event. It’s perfectly okay for you to say no. If you’ve been to a few parties and you’re feeling the impact then it’s simply okay to just say no. You don’t need to make up an excuse or feel bad about it. Just saying no is good enough.

♡ Eat well. We all know that Christmas bring lots of yummy treats such as sweets, pastries and even alcohol. However, that stuff can take a toll on your health and energy which will lead to burnout. Of course, it’s completely normal to eat the yummy foods and I definitely think you should be try to eat some fruit and veg in their too though.

♡ Watch where your money goes. I know that this is easier said then done but Christmas can get super expensive so watching your money is important. If you overspend then it could make you stressed and you could even end up being stressed into the New Year which isn’t what anyone wants. Christmas is about family and friends, not material items. If you’re short on cash then try getting crafty for gifts. They have more sentimental value and it’s a good way of saving some cash.

♡ Schedule yourself some you time. So many people’s diaries get filled up during the Christmas period that they end up completely exhausted by the new year. Before you go and completely fill up your diary, grab your planner or calendar or whatever you use and schedule yourself some free time where you can truly look after yourself. You could arrange to take yourself somewhere or you could just watch a film in your home while drinking hot chocolate. If your batteries are empty you can’t keep giving to others so recharging is essential.

Whatever you end up doing this Christmas, I hope that it is absolutely wonderful. Don’t forget to look out for your own health during the Christmas period as remember that self care is important at this time of year.

What I’ve Been Playing ♡ March 2019

I asked on Twitter for people to link me to their blogs. Someone who did that was the lovely Nikki from nikkipedia. I had never read her blog before but it was absolutely fabulous. Definitely a new favourite blogger.

But anyway, I got an idea while reading her blog. Every month (if I remember), I will write a roundup post of everything I’ve been playing recently. Whether it’s a app game, computer game, DS game or xbox game, I’ll include it in my roudup post.

I’m hoping that these posts will encourage you all to discover new games that you wouldn’t have ever thought of playing!

So… here’s the March edition of What I’ve Been Playing..!

Minecraft

I started playing Minecraft around 6/7 years ago. I would stay up late into the night and early hours of the morning just mining and building things. However, I stopped playing for a couple of months until Simon bought me a copy for the Nintendo Switch from Christmas last year. Now, I’m addicted again. I recently just built a cinema which looks so cool!

Disney’s Magic Kingdoms

I play this game on my iPhone and it’s so much fun and so addictive. I seem to be checking it at least five times a day if not more. If you haven’t heard of it then it’s basically a game where you get to build and run your own Disney park. It’s great fun for any Disney fan.

Crash Bandicoot N’sane Trilogy

I was so happy when this game was released that I bought it as soon as I could. However, it is so much more difficult than it was when I was a kid. I struggle with it a lot but at the same time, it’s so much fun. I seem to be stuck on a certain level though so every now and then, I head back onto the game and attempt the level again. Each time, I get a little further but it’s so frustrating that I can’t do it.

What have you been playing lately? Any games that you recommend that I check out?

Let’s Talk About What We Want From Animal Crossing 2019

I love, love, love Animal Crossing! If you’re anything like me then you’ll love it too.

I thought it would be fun to list a few features that a lot of us are hoping for from the the 2019 game.

Just a few months back, Nintendo announced that they were be releasing Animal Crossing in 2019. There’s not much information out about it so far but here’s what we all hope is added to the game.

Relationships Between The Characters

I want to see more relationships between the villagers. Things like dating, friends, enemies, etc. It’d be awesome to be invited to your villagers weddings.

A Bigger Town

The gamecube version of Animal Crossing had the largest size world. New Leaf is only 1/3 of the size of the largest world. That is why we want more space. We could have a whole load of new space for new plants, projects and ponds. They could even increase the villager limit.

More Side Quests

You would never find yourself with nothing to do. Every time you speak to a villager, you could be asked to do a task or quest from villagers. That was you will be able to play the game for longer without running out of things to do.

What are you hoping for from the game?
