What I’ve Been Playing ♡ March 2019

I asked on Twitter for people to link me to their blogs. Someone who did that was the lovely Nikki from nikkipedia. I had never read her blog before but it was absolutely fabulous. Definitely a new favourite blogger.

But anyway, I got an idea while reading her blog. Every month (if I remember), I will write a roundup post of everything I’ve been playing recently. Whether it’s a app game, computer game, DS game or xbox game, I’ll include it in my roudup post.

I’m hoping that these posts will encourage you all to discover new games that you wouldn’t have ever thought of playing!

So… here’s the March edition of What I’ve Been Playing..!

Minecraft

I started playing Minecraft around 6/7 years ago. I would stay up late into the night and early hours of the morning just mining and building things. However, I stopped playing for a couple of months until Simon bought me a copy for the Nintendo Switch from Christmas last year. Now, I’m addicted again. I recently just built a cinema which looks so cool!

Disney’s Magic Kingdoms

I play this game on my iPhone and it’s so much fun and so addictive. I seem to be checking it at least five times a day if not more. If you haven’t heard of it then it’s basically a game where you get to build and run your own Disney park. It’s great fun for any Disney fan.

Crash Bandicoot N’sane Trilogy

I was so happy when this game was released that I bought it as soon as I could. However, it is so much more difficult than it was when I was a kid. I struggle with it a lot but at the same time, it’s so much fun. I seem to be stuck on a certain level though so every now and then, I head back onto the game and attempt the level again. Each time, I get a little further but it’s so frustrating that I can’t do it.

What have you been playing lately? Any games that you recommend that I check out?

A Little Q&A

I love Q&As as they are a great way to find out more about people. So, I asked on Twitter for people to send me some questions and they lovely Twitter people did.

Aside from your phone/laptop, what’s one object you couldn’t live without and why? – What Abigail Says

I would say my laptop but since I can’t say that, I’m going to do with my favourite teddy called Rosy. I have had her since I was very young and she is my most favourite possession. I also have another teddy bear called Honey who is also super precious so really, I can’t live without either of them.

Who is your favourite book character(s) & why? – Raiin Monkey

Okay… so… I thought about this for a while and I think that my favourite character is Eleanor from Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell. She is quirky and she isn’t afraid to be different. A few other characters that I love are:

  1. Cath from Fangirl.
  2. Callum from Noughts and Crosses.
  3. Lara Jean from To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.

What’s your ultimate favourite Disney film and why?! – Coffee & Corfu

Oh my gosh, this is such a difficult question to answer! After a lot of thought, I think I’m going to have to go with Monsters Inc. It’s the film that I remember most from my childhood and probably the film that made me love Disney most of all. I also love Mulan and anything with Chip n Dale in.

Do you play video games if so what is your favourite? – The Smurfy Gamers Blog

I do play video games. Not too long ago, I bought a Nintendo Switch so I have been playing some Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee but my all time favourite game is Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer for the Nintendo 3DS. I’m kind of a Nintendo Nerd!

How did you start your booktube channel? – The Mum Who Read

So… I started a booktube channel about one year ago. I filmed the booktube newbie tag and it got over 100 views which was a huge shock to me. I figured that people wanted to see more bookish content from me so I went with it. I started watching booktubers and seeing what tag videos were out there.

Over time, I got bored of talking about books all the time. So, I started vlogging. I pretty much daily vlogged for a while but my vlogs got boring as my depression got worse and I didn’t have the motivation to do anything.

When a bit of my motivation came back, I got into fitness. So of course, I started vlogging again and talking about fitness.

Now, I film fitness related videos at least once a month and it’s great for me because it’s not too much pressure and it’s also really fun.

What’s a song that you can’t help but jam out/sing along to when it comes on?! – Inspired By Tor

I always tell people that I don’t like Motionless In White but whenever Simon plays one of there songs, I catch myself headbanging and singing/screaming along.

How did you meet Simon? – Estellosaurus

We actually met on Tinder. I had only just downloaded the app and didn’t take it too seriously but Simon and I got talking and we ended up really enjoying chatting to each other. Over time, we decided to meet up and it all went from there…

If you enjoyed the Q&A feel free to leave a question in the comments for my next Q&A or I will answer in the comment section..

My Nintendo Switch Game Collection

I bought my Nintendo Switch around three months ago. I know, I was pretty late in getting one but I have one now so it’s all good, right?!

Since getting my Nintendo Switch, I have accumulated quite a few games. I play a range of different games from Minecraft to Zelda.

So, I thought it would be fun to share all my Nintendo Switch games with you. I don’t have the biggest collection but these are the games that I do have…

Minecraft

Minecraft is one of my all time favourite games. Simon bought it for me on the Nintendo Switch for Christmas and I’m so happy with it. I keep getting confused on the controls though because I’m used to playing it on the xBox One or PC.

Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee

We preordered this game so we were able to pick it up on release day. Simon completed it in about two days so I didn’t get the chance to play it straight away. I do love what I have played so far though although I’m barely into it.

Lego The Incredibles

I haven’t played this game at all yet. It was one of Simon’s choices when we first bought the Switch. He wanted it super badly but has actually hardly played it since we bought it..

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

I haven’t played this game either yet. I played this game so much on the Wii U that I got completely sick of it. We even bought the wheels that go with the game so that we could play together but we haven’t played yet.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Confession time; I love Zelda but I completely suck at it. I don’t even know how it’s possible to be bad at Zelda but I really am. I am hardly into the game because everytime I try to play it, I rage quit.

Nickelodeon Kart Racers

This is one of my favourite games. I just find it super cute. I always choose to race as a Ninja Turtle because they are my fave.

Super Mario Odyssey

his game is super fun but once again, I haven’t completed it yet. I played it so much when I first bought it but then I decided that I wanted to game less as I was spending a lot of time on it and then I stopped playing all together.

Splatoon 2

Ok, I just don’t understand Splatoon. What is the point of it? What am I meant to be doing? I’m so stupid!

Cars 3: Driver To Win

Cars will always have a special place in my heart so when I found out that they had a Nintendo Switch game, I just had to buy it. It’s a super fun and simple game and I need to play it more often.

Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy

I have a love hate relationship with Crash Bandicoot. I absolutely love it but it’s just so difficult that I rage quit often and scream at the console. If you haven’t played the remastered Crash Bandicoot then I recommend that you do though!

1-2 Switch

Simon and I decided that we should probably get this game as it’s the basic Switch game. I’m actually surprised that this game doesn’t come with the Switch for free. It’s a fun game though. Even if I do get way too competitive.

What games do you play on the Nintendo Switch? Are there any games that I need to add to my collection?

How To Live Like A Real Princess

Unfortunately, I was not born into a royal family or a Disney film so sadly, I’m not a princess. It’s very true though that there’s a a few rituals that you can do to make your life a little more princessy.

If I can spend a few extra moments in my life acting like a princess then I will do.

1. Feed animals. You could put a little amount of food out for the birds or any night time visitors like hedgehogs or badgers. Unlike in Disney films, we can’t sing to the animals to summon them and we can’t have them clean our homes but we can make their lives a little better. You could put a bird bath in your back garden or you could build a hog home for a hedgehog.

2. Donate to charities. Princesses like to give back to the world. It’s a nice idea to donate just £1, £2 or more if you can afford it a month to a charity of your choice. I donate to WWF by sponsoring an elephant which I think works out about £3 a month.

3. Smell lovely. Have a long soak in the bath and use your favourite bubble bath. After you’re all relaxed and clean, cover yourself in your favourite body butter. My favourite is a cherry and macadamia one from Superdrug but really you can get cheap body butters anywhere.

4. Only buy what you need or really want. Set yourself a little budget and try not to overspend. You don’t want to be surrounded by clutter or anything that doesn’t bring you joy.

5. Creat a safe and happy space. You could use a vanity, a corner of your bedroom or a spot on the sofa. Make it cute, make it comfy and make it your dreams come true.

6. Wear your favourite outfit. I like to opt for a pretty, pink dress but really you can wear anything that makes you feel beautiful. Even if you don’t feel like getting dressed, put on your favourite pair of pyjamas. They should make you feel all warm and happy just like any Princess would feel.

What do you like to do to feel like a real life princess?

My Pre-Disney World Shopping List

It’s 2019 which means that it’s officially the year that I’m going to Walt Disney World in Florida.

I’m so excited as I have never been before. I have watched vlogs, ride experiences and character meets on YouTube but I still don’t really know what to expect.

That’s why I’m an over packer when it comes to travelling. I like to have everything just on the off change that there’s something I need.

As my trip to WDW gets nearer, it’s about time that I did some shopping to pick up some things that would look great on me or with me on my holiday.

Clothing

When at a Disney, it’s not allowed to cosplay as the characters just something called Disney-bounding is allowed. If you’re not familiar with Disney bounding then I recommend that you look it up because it looks like so much fun.

I have never Disney bounded before so this will be my first time so I need clothes that are versatile and also Disney themed.

Accessories

What outfit is complete without accessories?! Am I right?!

With that being said, I’m off to save some money instead of spending it for once so that I can then buy myself all these things for Walt Disney World.
