Imagine that you’re looking after a young child or a toddler. You would want to make sure that they had the best care possible. You’d make sure that they got enough sleep, let them have time to play and have fun, make sure that they have 3 meals a day and keep them clean.

Now, imagine that child is you. You would have wanted to be treated like that as a child so why not treat yourself like that now that you’re an adult. Just because you don’t have someone parenting you, doesn’t mean that you need to stop caring about yourself. You deserve to be treated well so here’s some self care tips for you.

♡ Give yourself at least one day of rest per week. You could sit around all day binge watching tv, sleep in or stay in bed all day, take a day away from your phone, read a good book, take a slow and steady walk, eat something yummy or you could just spend some time with yourself.

♡ Create a list of things that you are grateful for or just things that make you happy. You can then look back on the list whenever you need a little pick me up. I find that even just making the list can put you in a great mood and leave a beautiful smile on your face.

♡ Turn off the notifications on your phone. I swear that this is an actual game changer. It’s such a good feeling because you end up being ‘free’ from your phone for a bit. Not having the notifications on takes away some of the pressure that you feel when you hear a ping. You’ll start spending less time on your phone and more time enjoying the real world.

♡ Do something nice for another person. You could write a letter to a friend, help a stranger on the street, buy something little for your partner or you could take someone out for a meal. These acts of kindness are so important because they make the other person feel loved and valued which helps both their mental health and your own. By making someone else smile, you will feel a sense of purpose and it makes you feel happier.

♡ Stay away from the negativity if you can. I know that this isn’t always possible but if you can avoid gossip, complaints or insults then you will instantly feel a little better. By surrounding yourself with more positive and radiant beings, you will feel so much happier.

♡ Practise self love. The way that you talk to yourself matters. What you tell yourself ultimately becomes your reality. So, try your hardest to fill your mind with positive thoughts and watch yourself blossom. Loving yourself is not an easy journey. You’re not going to just wake up one day and feel better. It’s a process. You’ll probably have setbacks but you’re going to get there in the end.

♡ Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it. There’s so many people out there who are willing to listen and give advice. Call a family member or friend when you are facing a problem or when you’re feeling low. If you don’t want to talk to someone you know, there’s plenty of phone or online services that you can contact. Asking for help is not weak, it’s actually very brave.

No matter what kind of issues you are going through in life, you are not alone and there’s so many people out there that love and value you. So, please try to love yourself too.

5 Ways To Unwind On A Sunday

It’s Sunday which means you’re probably stressing out about the week ahead if you’re anything like me.

That’s not what Sunday’s are for though. Let’s all make it our mission to relax this Sunday and plan for the week ahead..

But how can we do that?!

Sleep well

Let’s be honest, no one sleeps well in the week. With all of life responsibilities and work, education or anything like that. Sleep just isn’t on the table. That is why you should take this whole weekend as an opportunity to catch up on sleep. Rest your precious heads.

Spend some quality time with your loved ones

You know those people that are so busy during the week that you never get to see..? Well spend your weekend with them. Talk about what you got up to during the week and chat all about your plans for the week ahead. You could even go out for an adventure or a date!

Reflect and plan

Think about all the things that you got up to last week and think about what you did right and what you could have done better. Use your new found knowledge to improve the week ahead.

Unplug

The thing with society these days is that we are all completely attached to our phones. We use them to see any local and world news and we use them to communicate with people. Sometimes it’s checking your emails before work the next morning and sometimes it’s just saying hi to a friend. Whatever it is, sometimes you just need to unplug and spend a little time with yourself.

Get excited for Monday

You know that Monday that is quickly approaching?! Well it’s time to get hyped as you have an opportunity to create new memories and experience new things. Get excited because you are going to accomplish great things tomorrow!

Top 5 Animation Shows

I love animations. I don’t watch much tv but when I do it’s probably an animation show.

I wanted to talk a little bit about my top cartoons/animations. I thought it would be fun for you to find some to watch too through my recommendations.

Gravity Falls

This is definitely my absolutely favourite animation show. It follows the story of Mable and Dipper who go to stay with their Uncle Stan for the summer. They get up to all kinds of crazy things and they discover that Gravity Falls is not normal at all.

Mable is the cutest character ever and I would love to cosplay her one day. She has an adorable fashion sense and is super kind and funny. Uncle Stan is grumpy which brings a lot of humour to the show. Dipper is funny too but in a completely different way to Uncle Stan.

Hilda

I only started this show a few months ago but I’ve already watched it all… twice. Hilda, a fearless blue-haired girl, travels from a wilderness full of elves and giants to a bustling city packed with new friends and mysterious creatures. We follow her adventures and it’s just so fun.

Steven Universe

‘Weeeeee… are the crystal gems….’ But anyway, I adore this show. The animations are adorable and everyone can relate to a different character in some kind of way. I’m definitely a combo of Steven and Amethyst but maybe with a bit more Amethyst.

The Crystal Gems are a group of magical bearings who’s job is to save the universe. They have a half magical being called Steven who is like the little brother of the group.

Aggretsuko

I finished season one of this show just the other day and I loved it. With each episode only being 15 minutes long, it made the show easier to digest which was good for my short attention span.

Aggretsuko follows Retsuko ass she deals with her accounting day job and her horrible boss by singing heavy metal karaoke.

She-Ra

Now, I wasn’t sure if I should include this show in my list as I only just started it but it was so much fun during the first few episodes so I wanted to include it.

She-Ra, Princess of Power, leads a rebellion to free her land of Etheria from the monstorus invaders the Horde. My favourite character is Glimmer and she is fun and adorable.

WWE Super ShowDown 2019 Predications

WWE’s Super ShowDown pay-per-view is scheduled for June 7th in King Abdullah International Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This event features some big superstars that are bound to fill your with nostalgia.

With the likes of The Undertaker, Triple H, Goldberg, Roman Reigns and Randy Orton scheduled to compete at the event, Super ShowDown promises to be an interesting event.

So, let’s talk about the matches..

The Undetaker vs Goldberg

These two have never had a match in the shared circle before so this will be a first. Simon is a huge fan of The Undertaker but for me, he is just getting too old and is no longer in his prime. Goldberg is getting older too so even though this match will be super fun for older WWE fans, this match doesn’t interest me all that much. I don’t have high expectations for this match at all.

Prediction: Goldberg wins.

Triple H vs Randy Orton

Triple H and Randy Orton have been feuding on and off for over a decade. Even though we have seen this match a few times, some fans are excited to see Orton and Triple H in the ring against each other again because they are at different points in their careers.

Predication: Triple H wins.

Finn Balor vs Andrade

Since The Demon has been advertised for the event, I’m pretty certain that Finn is going to win this one. That’s what I’d bet my money on anyway. Plus, he is one of my favourite WWE superstars.

Prediction: Finn Balor wins.

The Lucha House Party vs Lars Sullivan

There is a very obvious predication here. Lars Sullivan isn’t a fan fave but he is given plenty of wins. On the last episode of Smackdown Live, Lars was being called boring by the crowd and I couldn’t help but agree. He is made out to be intimidating but honestly, I just think he is boring.

Predication: Lars Sullivan wins.

Seth Rollins vs Baron Corbin

There’s no way that Seth Rollins loses this title at this show and especially when it’s against Baron Corbin. It’s just not happening.

Predication: Seth Rollins wins.

Dolph Ziggler vs Kofi Kingston

Dolph Ziggler has been off the scene for a while now. Meanwhile, Kofi Kingston has been working hard, fighting for what he deserves. Both of these men have not had much attention even though they work hard so this match will be a good one.

Predication: Kofi Kingston wins.

Roman Reigns vs Shane McMahon

Shane McMahon has moved on from The Miz and set his sights on taking out Roman Reigns. It’s a fight that no one asked for but we are getting anyway. It’s completely unnecessary but hey ho.

Predication: Roman Reigns wins.

20 Before 2020

can you believe that we are just over halfway through the year?! It’s mad!!

With things changing in my life recently, I figured that it’s time to create some new goals to achieve in the six months that we have left of the year.

  1. Write something (almost) every day. I love to write. Whether it’s a blog post, a personal essay or a short story, writing just makes me happy.
  2. Complete a 30 day fitness challenge. I start these challenges all the time but after about three days, I quit. Let’s hope I can accomplish one this year.
  3. Actually finish a book. In the last four months, I haven’t finished a single book. I love to read but it’s just because I can’t focus on a book and I get distracted.
  4. Walk 10,000 steps or more at least four days of the week. This is probably pretty easy for me as I do a lot of walking but I thought that I would make this a goal anyway.
  5. Be more focused. My attention span is absolutely rubbish. I get distracted by the smallest thing. Plus, I’m always walking into people because I’m busy scrolling though Twitter.
  6. Wear everything I own. I have a few items of clothing that I just don’ wear. If I don’t want something anymore then the least I can do is donate it.
  7. Move somewhere bigger and safer. Simon and I are currently trying to move house as where we live in tiny and it also has a lot of dangerous people around. Fingers crossed that we find somewhere soon.
  8. Get back into photography. I used to absolutely love taking photos. I need to get back into it and start heading outside with my camera more.
  9. Turn internet friends into real life friends. I don’t have any real life friends but I have plenty of online friends. I would love to meet some of them this year.
  10. Go on a road trip. With Simon hopefully learning to drive soon, this might actually be a possibility. I love the idea of getting in the car, blasting some tunes and having a drive somewhere.
  11. Get another tattoo. I love tattoos and I love having them done. The only thing that would stop me from achieving this goal is money.
  12. Buy Disneyland Paris Annual Passes. I’ve said I’m going to get them so many time but something changes and we either can’t afford them or we just don’t have the time to go.
  13. Learn the basics of Spanish or French. I have started learning both languages on and off but I need to just pick one and stick to it.
  14. Create an upload schedule for YouTube and stick to it. I doubt this one will happen as I currently go through phases with YouTube but I can try.
  15. Get to my goal weight. I have a new perxsonal trainer and he is super lovely so hopefully he will help me reach this goal but the end of the year.
  16. Learn to cook something new. I have a habit of eating the same things, over and over again. I don’t mind too much but it would be nice to cook something new.
  17. Stretch every day. Stretching makes me feel so good so I really need to do it more often. I would love to do it in both the morning and the evening.
  18. Start a gratitude journal. I love journaling and I have an extensive collection of notbooks so I might as well use some to bring a little positivity to my life.
  19. Listen to podcasts. I’ve listened to a couple of episodes of a podcast in my life but I didn’t pay too much attention. I want to get into them though.
  20. Save up some money. I love to shop but it’s time I get serious and start a savings fund. here’s a few things that will cost a lot in the future and I need some money behind me.

6 Things You Probably Don’t Know About Me

I started this blog in January but before that, I had been writing a blog for 5 years. I don’t have access to that blog anymore and I’ve rebranded which means that I lost a few of my older followers and gained a few new ones.

Due to the rebrand, I thought I would use my blog to reintroduce myself.

So, here’s some things about me that you might not know yet..

I am a shy extrovert

Let’s just get this straight, there is such things as a shy extrovert because shyness is not related to introversion or extroversion. I love talking to people but I am a shy person. I thrive off building rapports with people, making friends and chatting to strangers I meet on the streets. I feel great when I get talking to someone new and I feel that I can truly be myself. That doesn’t mean that I don’t get shy though. Shyness is a form of light social anxiety when a person feels awkward in public. Thus, an extrovert can be shy. Which, by the way, is a complete nightmare. I can’t do what I love to do (be sociable) because of my social anxiety.

I attemted my A Levels three times but dropped out each time

I’ve always loved learning, just not in a schooling environment. I like to learn on my own terms and even then, I struggle to retain any information. The first time I went to college, I attempted my A-levels and dropped out because I moved away. Second time, I dropped out to spend more time with an ex. Third time, I went for one day and had a panic attack. I think it’s safe to say that I won’t be trying A-levels again.

I love drawing and painting

Although I absolutely suck at it, I love to draw and paint. I find it therapeutic and it allows me to express myself freely. I stopped drawing for the longest time because I figured that I would never be good enough. However, recently I started drawing again and I love it.

I get the urge to travel almost every day

I love to travel. I think it’s because I get to escape everyday reality and explore new places. I dream of just packing a suitcase and traveling to my next destination. I would love to visit Japan and that’s where I’m hoping to book next so fingers crossed, I can make that a reality.

I rarely ever get bored

I really don’t see how someone could get bored when there are a million and one things to do in life at all times. In fact, I get very overwhelmed by the lack of time I have to get things done each day. Plus, if I do run out of things to do, I can always scroll through Twitter, write a blog post or watch YouTube videos. There’s so many content creators out there that you can never run out of content to consume.

I don’t have any friends

I know, I know, everyone says this. But for me, it;s true. I have Simon and that is it. Sure, I have internet friends who I speak to sometimes but I don’t have anyone to meet up with for a coffee. I don’t have any friends to go shopping with or go and catch a movie with. That is why I spend so much time on my own and with Simon. Not that I don’t like that. I do, I just wish I had some friends too.
