A Week In Lytham St Anne’s

If you’re wondering why I’ve been a little bit quiet on social media recently then allow me to explain. Simon and I have been on a little Monday to Friday UK holiday.

Monday 10th June

So, we woke up at 4:30am and walked to town. Usually we get the bus but I wanted to leave the house even earlier so we walked instead. We popped to Tesco for some breakfast. I had Pan Au Chocolates and cookies and Simon had something but I really can’t remember what.

We arrived at the bus stop and got on the bus to Chester. The journey went slowly but I think that’s because I was excited!

Once we got to Chester, we realised we were super early so we got on an earlier train to Warrington Bank Quay. The train was super old fashioned and had slide down windows which really amused Simon and I. We kept pulling them up and down.

There was a 25 minutes wait and Warrington before we boarded the second train to Preston. Because we got an earlier train, we were an hour and a bit earlier than expected in Preston so we walked around the Fishergate Shopping Centre for a little bit.

After walking around some shops, we headed to The Sizzler for a bite to eat. The Sizzler is in Lytham but it’s worth the trip from Preston. I enjoyed my southern fried sweet chilli wrap and chips!

Once we had finished eating, we headed to the hotel to check in.

We were staying at the Travelodge in Lytham St Anne’s. We have stayed there many times before and the staff as super friendly and helpful. Our room was absolutely lovely and we got it at a good rate too.

We quickly threw our bags into the hotel room and headed for the bus to Blackpool. We ended up walking around Blackpool for a while and it was lovely.

Eventually, it was time to get the bus back to St Anne’s. Of course, I was hungry at this point so it was time for food.

After a quick outfit change and a selfie, we headed out to The Trawl Boat Inn for some food.

After eating, we took a walk along the pier and promenade. The weather was slightly windy but it was fun overall.

After a long day, we headed back to our hotel room and chatted until we fell asleep.

Tuesday 11th June

I woke up about 100 times in the night. I always do the first night in a hotel which is annoying. The bus was so comfy though!

I eventually got out of bed at 5am and started to get ready. I managed to get my hair into some kind of up-do which made me so happy because I have been waiting for my hair to grow for a while.

After watching Good Morning Britain for a little while, we headed out for breakfast. I bought a croissant to eat on the go so we could get on the bus quicker.

We hopped on the bus to Blackpool and did some shopping.

Our favourite shopping centre in Blackpool is the Houndshill. We can spend hours in there. We bought a paintball gun, clothing, shoes and video games.

After shopping for a while, we headed to the arcades.

In the arcades, we found a Zoltar so we had to get our four tunes read. Mine was way better than Simon’s though which made me laugh.

We played on a lot of 2p machines and walked around for a while.

It was then time to head out for more food. This time, we were having Chinese food. I ordered sweet and sour chicken with chips. Simon ordered the same. It was from a place called Chu’s in Lytham and it was so tasty.

After the meal, we headed back to the hotel to watch television get ready for the next day.

Wednesday 12th June

On Wednesday, I managed to sleep in for an extra hour. I did wake up pretty suddenly after an odd dream though. After watching Good Morning Britain again, Simon and I got ready and headed to Tesco to grab some food before we got on the bus to Preston. The bus to Preston take literally forever but once we got there, we had so much fun.

We did some shopping in two of our favourite shops, Tiger and Kenji. They are both super cheap and affordable shops that sell the cutest things.

After some shopping, we headed to Blackpool. Simon wanted to visit Sea Life so we did and it was super fun.

We even booked in for a behind the scenes tour so we got to see more than most visitors. We were the only one on the tour so I asked loads of questions and we found out all about different fish types and sharks.

At Sea Life, we did a little bit more shopping. Simon bought some plushies and I bought two enamel pins to add to my collection.

After Sea Life, we went into the Houndshill and had a little look around the shops again. At least this time we stopped ourselves from buying anything.

It was then time to head back to the hotel as it was getting later in the day so we hopped back on the bus and headed to St Anne’s. Once we arrived, we went back to the hotel, changed into our flip flops and went for a walk along the beach.

Although it was slightly cold, it was enjoyable and we just walked and talked about the future and how much of a good time we have had so far.

When the beach got a tad boring, we headed back to the hotel where I drank plenty of cups of tea and sat in bed watching television and listening to some tunes.

Thursday 13th June

On the Thursday we woke up early… again. After a cup of tea and some breakfast we walked around the shops in St Anne’s Square.

After walking became uninteresting, we headed back to the hotel for a mini rest before heading back out to Fleetwood.

Fleetwood have a huge market which sells a huge range of things. We didn’t buy anything but there was so much stuff that I wanted.

There were some spiritual stalls and I found loads of cool things. I was a happy girl.

After Fleetwood we headed to a little outlook shopping center for a walk around. There was even a Cadbury’s shop. I wanted everything but managed to restrain myself.

After shopping, we headed back to St Anne’s to our hotel. I had a cup of tea again and then started packing ready to leave the next morning.

Friday 14th June

Friday was the day that we headed home. But first, we took a walk around Blackburn. It was a lovely place and we did some mor shopping and exploring.

After exploring, it was time to head to the train station in Preston to get the train home.

The journey home was long but as soon as we arrived, I was glad to be home!

Coconut Milk with Koko Milk

* This product was sent me me in return for an honest review. All opinions and words are my own.

As I mentioned on my Twitter account, I wanted to try different milks that are more environmentally friendly.

At the moment, I’m doing plenty of research into how to save the planet and the milk and dairy industry is just no good at all! If you want to know more then I recommend that you do your own research and see for yourself.

But anyway, Koko Milk contacted me and asked if I would like to talk a little about their milk on my blog. Of colours, I accepted as milk is one of my favourite things to drink. Especially when it’s warm.

Coconut Milk

This milk is a coconut milk which is full of benefits for your health. These benefits include…

  • heart health
  • bone support
  • immune strength
  • weight loss

Koko Super Milk

Koko Dairy free super milk is enriched with nine vitamins and minerals including…

  • Calcium

The milk tastes super yummy and creamy and I think I’m addicted now!

I would definitely recommend that you give this product a try. It might be a game changer for you, like it was for me.

My Top 5 Character Meets At Disneyland Paris

I’ve been to Disneyland Paris twice now and have a third trip booked. I know that’s not a huge amount but I’m grateful that I get to go at all.

In the future, Simon and I hope to get APs which means we will be going all the time but money doesn’t want that to happen right now.

In the meantime, while I’m missing the Disney magic, I thought I would write all about my favourite character meets in the parks.

Miss Bunny and Thumper

This is my all time favourite meet so I thought that I would talk about it first. It’s a funny story really. We were in the queue for the characters and something happened that made us leave the queue. We ended up all sad that we didn’t meet Miss Bunny and Thumper. So, we did some shopping. I bought a handbag with Mickey Mouse’s face on.

Anyway, we went back into the park and noticed that Miss Bunny and Thumper will be back at 1pm. We waited around for about an hour to meet them but it was totally worth it. Miss Bunny ended up loving my new bag and she posed with it. Thumper was upset that it wasn’t him that was on my bag!

Definitely the best character meet so far. Plus, Miss Bunny looks adorable with my handbag!

Marie

This was a character meet that I didn’t love so much as it was happening but thinking about it now, it made my trip extra special. We didn’t have to queue very long to meet Marie which shocked me as I figured that people would love to meet Marie.

At the time, I thought that Marie was freaky as she just clawed at me and stroked my hand but thinking about it now, it was super fun and funny.

Jafar

The line to meet Jafar was the best queue ever. I was hyped and super excited so I kept making jokes.

“First we were JaFAR, then we were JaNEAR”

I realise that isn’t actually that funny but I was so happy that I would laugh at anything.

When we got to Jafar, I asked him if he was the hugging type. He shook his head at me and it was one of the best moments ever.

Daisy Duck

This was the first meet of the second trip. As soon as we arrived in the park, I noticed Daisy and ran over.

Me and Daisy posed a lot and took plenty of photos. Even though I was extra fat (I’ve lost weight since), these photos are some of my favourite of myself. Not because of how I look but because of how happy I am.

Goofy

This was the last character meet of the second trip. We were packing up and waiting for the coach to the airport when Goofy arrived so of course, we had to squish in one more character meet before we left.

I gave him the biggest hug and told him that I would see him soon.

I can’t wait to go back to Disneyland Paris and meet more characters. Have you ever been before? Who was your fave character meet?

Top Tips To Save Up Money Even If You’re Rubbish At Saving

1… Get yourself a savings jar! This is pretty much the basic savings tip. You will need a jar of some kind to collect money in.

2… Collect loose change. This tip may sounds a little far fetched but try picking up money from the floor or scooping up money from the bottom of your handbag. I’m sure you will find a lot of money over time in those places.

3… Stop spending the 1ps, 2ps and 5ps. Simon and I used to spend every single penny. But now, whenever we get some change back from shopping, we keep it and collect it in the jar. Anything that is 10p and over can be kept to spend on but anything under needs to be kept in a jar for savings.

4… Prioritise. You will need to decide what you want to spend your money on and what is not so important. For example, getting a Starbucks on your way to work isn’t as important as paying bills and rent. Once you have stopped spending money on the less important stuff, you’ll notice yourself having more spare money.

5… Stop collecting and start selling. I’m sure by now, you own plenty of stuff. Some of it you will love but other items not so much. That is why you should go through everything you own and decide what you wish to keep and what you wish to get rid of. You can sell unwanted items on online stores such as eBay, depop and vinted.

6… Take advantage of swaps. If you’re looking for something in a shop, take a minute to really think about it. If you want something then you could probably get it from someone else. Ask around if anyone wants to do a swap with you. You can swap books, clothing and even collectibles.

What tips and tricks do you have for people who are wanting to save a little extra money?

6 Things You Probably Don’t Know About Me

I started this blog in January but before that, I had been writing a blog for 5 years. I don’t have access to that blog anymore and I’ve rebranded which means that I lost a few of my older followers and gained a few new ones.

Due to the rebrand, I thought I would use my blog to reintroduce myself.

So, here’s some things about me that you might not know yet..

I am a shy extrovert

Let’s just get this straight, there is such things as a shy extrovert because shyness is not related to introversion or extroversion. I love talking to people but I am a shy person. I thrive off building rapports with people, making friends and chatting to strangers I meet on the streets. I feel great when I get talking to someone new and I feel that I can truly be myself. That doesn’t mean that I don’t get shy though. Shyness is a form of light social anxiety when a person feels awkward in public. Thus, an extrovert can be shy. Which, by the way, is a complete nightmare. I can’t do what I love to do (be sociable) because of my social anxiety.

I attemted my A Levels three times but dropped out each time

I’ve always loved learning, just not in a schooling environment. I like to learn on my own terms and even then, I struggle to retain any information. The first time I went to college, I attempted my A-levels and dropped out because I moved away. Second time, I dropped out to spend more time with an ex. Third time, I went for one day and had a panic attack. I think it’s safe to say that I won’t be trying A-levels again.

I love drawing and painting

Although I absolutely suck at it, I love to draw and paint. I find it therapeutic and it allows me to express myself freely. I stopped drawing for the longest time because I figured that I would never be good enough. However, recently I started drawing again and I love it.

I get the urge to travel almost every day

I love to travel. I think it’s because I get to escape everyday reality and explore new places. I dream of just packing a suitcase and traveling to my next destination. I would love to visit Japan and that’s where I’m hoping to book next so fingers crossed, I can make that a reality.

I rarely ever get bored

I really don’t see how someone could get bored when there are a million and one things to do in life at all times. In fact, I get very overwhelmed by the lack of time I have to get things done each day. Plus, if I do run out of things to do, I can always scroll through Twitter, write a blog post or watch YouTube videos. There’s so many content creators out there that you can never run out of content to consume.

I don’t have any friends

I know, I know, everyone says this. But for me, it;s true. I have Simon and that is it. Sure, I have internet friends who I speak to sometimes but I don’t have anyone to meet up with for a coffee. I don’t have any friends to go shopping with or go and catch a movie with. That is why I spend so much time on my own and with Simon. Not that I don’t like that. I do, I just wish I had some friends too.

What are some random facts about you that you want to share? Let me know if the comments so we can all get to know each other better!

4 Things I Hope To Never Do Before I Die

You have probably heard of a bucket list. If you haven’t then it’s basically just a list of things you wish to do before you die.

Since people write bucket list posts all the time, I am going to do a little twist on it and write all about things that I hope to never do!

There’s not much that I don’t want to do as I wish to experience everything at least once but there’s limits to that!

So onto the anti-bucket list…

1… Attend a high school reunion.

High School was literally one of the worst experiences of my life. I NEVER want to relive that moment. You see people talking all about reunions and how they are great ways to show how far you have gotten in life. Unfortunately, I haven’t accomplished much since leaving High School so I would have nothing to show.

2… Have my teeth fall out.

I had a dream once that all my teeth fell out and I have been terrified ever since. Teeth are important. They allow you to eat which is one of my favourite things to do. Losing my teeth would destroy me emotionally. That reminds me, I need to start taking better care of my teeth!

3… Get arrested.

I’ve never been to prison and I hope that I never do. I don’t see myself as a murderer or any other kind of criminal so I doubt this would ever happen but stranger things have happened..

4… Stop reading printed books.

I love my Kindle don’t get me wrong. However, there’s something special about a printed book. They smell good and feel nice in your hands. Now that the world is going digital, I worry that printed books are dying out. I hope that doesn’t happen because I love buying books. In fact, I buy books a lot quicker than I am able to read them.

So, what’s on your Anti-Bucket List?

Letter To My Future Self

Dear Future Self,

Please take a moment to step outside or go somewhere quiet. Take in everything around you. Take in the smells, the sights and anything you can hear. I’m not too sure what you’re up to right now as I’m writing this from the past but right now, I am in the middle of a lot of stress. It’s like stress city here. But you know what helps? Just taking a moment to breathe, which is why I told you to do just that at the very start of this letter.

I wonder how things are for you now. At time time of writing this, I am unemployed, struggling with my mental health and have no friends. I hope all of that has changed by now. Hopefully you’ve grown up a little (but not too much of course) and made good choices in life.

I hope that you’ve continued to try to better yourself. I wonder if you’re at your goals now? At the time of writing this, I am going to the gym most days and working hard on my blog and YouTube in the hopes of one day turning it into a career. I wonder if you’ve managed to achieve those goals..?

I hope that you have traveled the world and even visited Japan by the time you’re re-reading this. Travelling is important to me and I know I enjoy it so I hope you still do.

Most importantly though, I hope that you’re happy. I hope that you wake up in the morning with a smile on your face and you’re ready to take on another day.

Find adventures in everyday!

Eleanor

April ’19 Round-Up

So, April is over and I thought I would share with you a few things that I got up to.

But what am I currently up to?!

Currently Watching…

Nothing. I suck at watching things unless it’s YouTubers. If you want to know which small YouTubers I have been watching then check out this post but TV wise, I haven’t watched anything for a long time.

Currently Listening To…

ANONYMOUS by Blackbear. The whole album is absolutely amazing! But my favourite song is MAKE A MESS.

Currently Playing…

Minecraft of course. I am addicted and if you know me then you definitely know that about me. I can play it for hours without a single break because it’s just so addictive.

I have been watching YouTube tutorials and tours of Minecraft home and worlds and getting my inspiration from there. So many talented Minecrafters out there!

Currently Eating…

A lot of strawberries and bananas. If you didn’t know, I’m trying to lose some weight.

I was once told that fruit has too much sugar in it and that I shouldn’t eat as much but I’m just going to ignore that as I have been eating fruit and my weight is still going down.

Currently Planning…

The future of my blog and my YouTube channel. I want to start giving them my full attention and really having a go at making them successful.

I am nearly at 500 subscribers on YouTube and will be doing a giveaway when I finally get there. Let me know what you wish to see in my giveaway..

What have you been up to this April?

A Little Q&A

I love Q&As as they are a great way to find out more about people. So, I asked on Twitter for people to send me some questions and they lovely Twitter people did.

Aside from your phone/laptop, what’s one object you couldn’t live without and why? – What Abigail Says

I would say my laptop but since I can’t say that, I’m going to do with my favourite teddy called Rosy. I have had her since I was very young and she is my most favourite possession. I also have another teddy bear called Honey who is also super precious so really, I can’t live without either of them.

Rosy (left) and Honey (right)

Who is your favourite book character(s) & why? – Raiin Monkey

Okay… so… I thought about this for a while and I think that my favourite character is Eleanor from Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell. She is quirky and she isn’t afraid to be different. A few other characters that I love are:

  1. Cath from Fangirl.
  2. Callum from Noughts and Crosses.
  3. Lara Jean from To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.

What’s your ultimate favourite Disney film and why?! – Coffee & Corfu

Oh my gosh, this is such a difficult question to answer! After a lot of thought, I think I’m going to have to go with Monsters Inc. It’s the film that I remember most from my childhood and probably the film that made me love Disney most of all. I also love Mulan and anything with Chip n Dale in.

Do you play video games if so what is your favourite? – The Smurfy Gamers Blog

I do play video games. Not too long ago, I bought a Nintendo Switch so I have been playing some Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee but my all time favourite game is Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer for the Nintendo 3DS. I’m kind of a Nintendo Nerd!

How did you start your booktube channel? – The Mum Who Read

So… I started a booktube channel about one year ago. I filmed the booktube newbie tag and it got over 100 views which was a huge shock to me. I figured that people wanted to see more bookish content from me so I went with it. I started watching booktubers and seeing what tag videos were out there.

Over time, I got bored of talking about books all the time. So, I started vlogging. I pretty much daily vlogged for a while but my vlogs got boring as my depression got worse and I didn’t have the motivation to do anything.

When a bit of my motivation came back, I got into fitness. So of course, I started vlogging again and talking about fitness.

Now, I film fitness related videos at least once a month and it’s great for me because it’s not too much pressure and it’s also really fun.

What’s a song that you can’t help but jam out/sing along to when it comes on?! – Inspired By Tor

I always tell people that I don’t like Motionless In White but whenever Simon plays one of there songs, I catch myself headbanging and singing/screaming along.

How did you meet Simon? – Estellosaurus

We actually met on Tinder. I had only just downloaded the app and didn’t take it too seriously but Simon and I got talking and we ended up really enjoying chatting to each other. Over time, we decided to meet up and it all went from there…

If you enjoyed the Q&A feel free to leave a question in the comments for my next Q&A or I will answer in the comment section..
